Born in Tacoma, Washington, Dan began playing tenor sax professionally in the mid-'50s, Dan was first a member of
'The Delgatos' and went on to help form the group 'the Sensations'. these were two prominent northwest groups during
that time. Dan started playing bass in the early '60s in Riverside, CA. For almost five years he played at the 'White Sands'
with Dean Moody, Mitch Jaber and Chet Cook, in a group called the 'Sonic Kow'.
Later this band would be called the 'Sonics' and then 'Pepper Tree'
On the road in the 60's and early 70's with various bands, Worked with Alan Lindgren, keyboardist/arranger for
Neil Diamond and with other musicians such as country rock artist Sandy Knox Guitarist, Jimmy Bachman;
Guitarist/Singer, Johnny Draper; Guitarist, Kirby Smith; Singer, Jerry Vance; Keyboardist, Paul Bass.
Was a member of the '60s soul band Salt and Pepper. Worked as a studio musician in Southern California
when not on the road. A member of 'Magic' and 'Batteries Included' in Anchorage, AK in the mid '80s and various other
groups in the '90s. One of those groups was 'Blindside' the predecessor to 'Blue Light Special'
with Richard Day-Reynolds. Managed the "Jake Blair Band", The teenage "Boys of Blues"
Jake Blair and Matt Seymour. Occasional gigs with Richard Day-Reynolds, Gary Burford, Robby Laws, Garry Meziere,
Rooster Ross, Jake Blair, Myron Leroy, Jack Hopfinger, Ty Curtis, Gil Reynolds, Lee Blake and other performers in and
around Portland. Currently performing solo singer/songwriter gigs, sometime with friends
